Transform Your Mind with Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy

Paired with Psychotherapy, Ketamine is the only FDA-approved Psychedelic known for its dual effect on relieving symptoms of anxiety and depression, while boosting brain plasticity by offering a gentle doorway to new insights.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy destigmatizes Psychedelic healing by bringing it into a safe, relational, and expansive therapeutic space. When the noise of constraint is softened, healing becomes a form of reclamation: of identity, purpose, joy, and the right to exist without fear.

What to Expect

Step 1

MEDICAL TREATMENT

Step 2

PSYCHOTHERAPY SESSIONS

Step 3

OUTCOME MONITORING

The prospective patient schedules an initial evaluation with a prescriber from our KAP-trained medical team, where they will go over the patient’s medical and psychiatric history and determine eligibility for KAP.

If Journey Clinical’s medical team deems the patient eligible, they develop a personalized treatment plan.

All Journey Clinical patients are in a therapeutic alliance with a trained, licensed mental health professional within the Journey Clinical network.

Once the patient receives their ketamine prescription, their Journey Clinical KAP practitioner will schedule time for their KAP preparation, dosing and integration sessions together.

Journey Clinical’s medical team schedules regular follow ups with the patient to monitor outcomes, collaborating with their psychotherapist throughout their treatment.

The frequency of follow ups depends on the patient’s customized treatment plan, at a minimum of once per quarter.

About

INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY

CAMILA DE AZEVEDO

LCPC, CCATP

Welcome! I’m Camila, psychotherapist and founder of Origem Psychotherapy. Origem, or “origin” in Portuguese, grew from my belief that healing happens when we connect to our many roots.

Blending my theoretical foundation and a radical humanistic approach to therapy, my intention is to challenge rigidity, conformity and oppression. Instead, I invite us both to put on our loving, exploratory hats and dive into your inner landscape together.

I firmly believe that no one is a diagnosis; we carry stories and experiences in our bodies, and we are all afflicted by social pathologies. My role is to be a supportive container, a curious ally, and a gentle nudger, as you lead the way towards a meaningful, aligned life.

My therapeutic lens is rooted in humanistic foundations, with person-centered, narrative, and existential therapy as core pillars. I have formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Although, through my own process of liberation, I’ve continued to move away from traditional Eurocentric practices with the intention of reducing harm and stigma in the field of mental health. Today, my work aims to integrate more holistic approaches, incorporating mindfulness, somatic and attachment-based therapies, as well as Internal Family Systems (IFS).

It is important to me that clients feel deeply seen as whole individuals, including the intersectionality of systemic forces that impact their existence. Guided by radical compassion and a mirroring presence, I value bringing all parts of my identity - as an immigrant, woman, lesbian, mother, Latine, and neurodivergent human. Other key aspects of my practice include intentional living, reparenting work, integrating the unconscious, and embracing the delightful absurdity of one’s life into self-created meaning.

Psychotherapy sessions are primarily offered in person at my office in Andersonville, where you may occasionally meet my highly affectionate cat, Mico. Sessions in Portuguese are also available.
